This August, Pavlo Mochi partnered with Bioré to celebrate the launch of the brand’s new 2% BHA Exfoliating Hydra Serum in New York City.
The collaboration was inspired by the idea of “mochi skin” — the J-Beauty concept of skin that looks soft, smooth, bouncy and naturally glowing. To bring that idea to life in an unexpected way, Bioré invited Pavlo Mochi to create an exclusive mochi flavor inspired by the new serum and the texture behind the trend itself.
For the collaboration, our team developed a completely new flavor created specifically for Bioré. Soft, delicate and playful, it was designed as an edible interpretation of the campaign’s “mochi skin” concept and was available only as part of the limited-time activation.
The collaboration unfolded over three days in New York, including a dedicated event for creators and media, followed by two public pop-up days on August 21–22, where guests could discover Bioré’s newest skincare launch and try the exclusive Pavlo Mochi creation.
For us, this project was about more than creating a new flavor. It was an opportunity to translate a beauty concept into taste, texture and experience — bringing together Japanese-inspired skincare and one of Japan’s most recognizable desserts in a way that felt playful, contemporary and distinctly New York.
The Bioré x Pavlo Mochi flavor was created exclusively for this collaboration and was available only during the pop-up, making it a truly limited-edition Pavlo Mochi release.
We loved being part of a project where beauty, food and creativity could meet in such an unexpected way.
